Porta San Michele

Built between 1282 and 1284 typically in Gothic style for the pointed arch that characterizes it, the San Michele gate is the only survivor of the five gates that allowed access to the city. It represents an important testimony of the old city walls. After a few collapses, it was subjected to a restoration in 2015 aimed at recovering and safeguarding the work.
