Historical activity of Sant’Angelo di Brolo founded in 1961, the Bar Osteria Unni Don Nino in 2017 is enhanced by the young chef Francesco Lenzo, who retired to Sant’Angelo di Brolo after working for several years in Emilia Romagna. Authentic and genuine flavors for a cuisine that offers the best dishes of the Nebroidean gastronomic tradition, revisited according to the chef's interpretation, enhancing the raw materials while respecting their seasonality.

Unni Don Nino, a family-run company, is not the classic osteria: the chef prepares dishes daily with seasonal organic products, fresh and never standardized, based on the availability of raw materials that he often picks in his vegetable garden: from the aubergines parmigiana to pasta with broad beans, from beccafico sardines to cuttlefish ink pasta to fried ricotta, everything is expertly prepared to offer a menu that is never the same to itself. Each element that composes the rooms of the restaurant is the result of careful research and scrupulous restoration where stone, wood, terracotta, together with all the tools of the artisans of the past, become the undisputed protagonists of a perfect Sicilian style furniture.
Unni Don Ninu is also a cultural place that hosts innovative artistic events that are remembered: from “Incontri di Gusto”, which "narrated" and "lived" the comparison between Sicilian recipes and those from Emilia, Trentino and Puglia, to tastings of wines from Sicilian, Emilian and Trentino wineries, to the live music of young local bands, to the most successful “Ciak... si mangia” project, result of the collaboration between the Plancton collective and the videomaker Calogero Ricciardello, which celebrates and enhances the union between cinematographic and gastronomic art.
