View point Semaforo di Pollara

The panoramic point of Pollara is an area equipped to admire one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world: it overlooks the bay of Pollara where there is the only beach/town in Italy built on the remains of a volcanic crater, where Alicudi and Filicudi are the background to a very suggestive scenery. The area is located at the foot of the ruins of the so-called Castle or Semaphore of Pollara: an ancient watchtower of the Navy where soon will be realized a project of restructuring and enhancement to give life to the Panopticon Museum of the seas, volcanoes and stars.
