War memorial - Montagnareale

The war memorial is dedicated to the pilot captain of the 6th flock Joachim Aragon of Montagnareale who died on 25 September 1975 after an exercise held at the base of Bitburg, Germany, during the transfer flight for the return to Ghedi (BS) on board of the F 104 aircraft. The monument, located at the entrance to the village cemetery, recalls the fallen soldiers who lost their lives in battle for their country and for the value of their high moral and civic ideals.
