Church of SS. Salvatore - Nose

The Church of the Santissimo Salvatore overlooks the neighborhood to which it gives its name. Built in 1400 by the Causagrano family, it was restored in Baroque style in 1750. The main façade made of sandstone by local stonemasons, is characterized by the presence of flowers, shells and putti. Inside, to admire the terracotta parvis of Nasitano and the splendid marble triptych by Antonello Gagini depicting the Virgin of the Angels, who holds the Child Jesus in his arms, and on the sides San Giuseppe and San Gregorio Papa. Another remarkable work, dating back to the XVI century is the panel depicting the sleeping Madonna and Child, made by a Flemish painter.
