The Church of San Giovanni is the only one still existing among all the churches built between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Composed of a single nave, it has four side altars, all worked in marble, two on each side. The presence of a shield with tiara and the keys symbol of the power of San Pietro, such as the stoup next to the main entrance, suggest that probably the high altar in polychrome marble comes from the demolished church of San Pietro. On the back wall there is the main chapel, which houses the wooden table with the representation of Maria SS. del Rosario, attributed to Deodato Guinaccia.
