Gianpistone Ethnological Museum of Papier Mache Masks

The Gianpistone Papier Mache Museum, also known as Gianpistone's Ethnological Masks and Nativity Scene Papier Mache Museum, displays around 500 papier mache reproductions of the main African and Asian masks, as well as carnival costumes. The works were created by the Roman artist Gianpistone with various materials: wood, wicker, bamboo, coconut shells, pumpkins, but also ivory, bone and horn.
