Ruins Church of Santa Maria della Scala - Ucria

Probably one of the oldest churches in Ucria, the Church of Santa Maria della Scala was built in 1500. The portal had been built in sandstone where some allegorical figures were reproduced. Inside, the statue of the Madonna della Scala was kept, the work of the well-known Sicilian sculptor Antonello da Messina, now located inside the mother church of the town. Of the ancient ecclesiastical building, which is located a few steps from the Church of the Rosary, only ruins remain.
