Piazza IV Novembre - Castell'Umberto

Built between 1920 and 1930 and renovated in 1997, Piazza IV Novembre represents the main place of social aggregation of this small center of the Nebrodi. Basalt from Etna and inserts in local sandstone are the materials used for the construction of a space that, according to many, seems to immerse the observer in a surrealist painting by De Chirico. The Mother Church, the Town Hall and the Villa Comunale Sandro Pertini overlook the square.
