Bas-relief on a rocky wall

At the beginning of the main street of San Marco d'Alunzio, a Bas-relief in red Aluntian marble on a rocky wall, made in 2005 by skilled local craftsmen, tells the illustrious past of the small nebroid village: Alwntion for the Greeks, Haluntium for the Romans , Demenna for the Byzantines and San Marco for the Normans.
