Maulazzo lake

Lake Maulazzo is an artificial reservoir located at 1450 m above sea level, on the slopes of Monte Soro, the highest peak of the Nebrodi and fourth in Sicily. The lake, created in what used to be a large clearing in the midst of centuries-old beech woods, reaches an area of ​​about five hectares. From a naturalistic, landscape, fauna and floristic point of view, this lake is of considerable importance and possesses extraordinary beauty.
