Watermill - Alcara li-Fusi

The abundance of water in the center of Alcara has meant that numerous mills have been built along its streams fed by the power of the water. Near the Stella stream, stidda for the inhabitants, one of these is still intact and bewitches visitors with its characteristic beauty. This mill is located not far from the Abate Fountain in a sheltered position with respect to the main road. The vision, among the river reeds, the green meadows, the rocks, the orchards and, at the same time, the incessant pouring of the abundant stream with its waterfalls, reflects the genuine beauty of times gone by and a life of peaceful relationship between man and nature.
