Museum of white weapons and ancient musical instruments

Inside the Swabian-Aragonese Castle of Montalbano Elicona, in dedicated rooms, you will have the opportunity to admire the collections of two educational museums: the Museum of White Weapons and the Museum of Ancient Musical Instruments. You will find numerous finds that testify to two different dimensions of the human soul, the warrior and the artistic one, two opposite dimensions but equally important for investigating the historical and cultural events that have characterized our past. In the section dedicated to weapons, you can see the typical objects of the medieval knight: spears, halberds, cooked; you will also find heraldic coats of arms and ancient war machines. The wing dedicated to musical instruments will instead offer you a suggestive and fascinating experience that will bring to your mind the musical environment of medieval courts, through instruments such as lute and harps. They, together with many other instruments made by local craftsmen, will evoke the ancient melodies that resounded in these ancient castles.
